After graduating in clarinet with honour he studied composition and conducting at the Music Conservatory “G. Verdi” in Milan with masters Danilo Lorenzini and Umberto Cattini. Later, still in this city, he studied conducting and partiture analysis with the master Carlo Maria Giulini, who appreciates the musical qualities of the young student.

In 1992 he graduated brilliantly in conducting “for the starting of the lyrical theatre” with the master Umberto Cattini. He debuts in the Duomo of Milan with the “Messa di Gloria” by G. Puccini with the Orchestra Ambrosiana “Antonio Salieri” with great success among the audience and press.

In 1994 he was the winner of the 1st prize at the 3rd international competition for conductors “Una bacchetta per la lirica” in Rome with the master Peter Maag, the jury’s president.

In 1996 he got a specialization in conducting getting a degree.

He attended the superior courses of conducting at the Accademia Musicale Pescarese, the “Pomeriggi musicali di Milano”, the “Sommerakademie di Lilienfield” (Austria) and the Music Academy of Vienna with the masters: Donato Renzetti, Gustav Khun, Umberto Cattini and Wolfgang Sawallisch.

From 1996 to 1998, he becomes the assistant of Master Carlo Maria Giulini for the “experience , preparation and accuracy of shaping the orchestral staff even with the new orchestras”.

Since 2000 he’s the director leader of the Symphonic Lyric Orchestra of Rome he directed “Il Barbiere di Siviglia”, “L’Elisir d’amore”, “Don Pasquale”, “Le Nozze di Figaro”, “Rigoletto”, “La Traviata”, “Aida”, “Tosca”, “La Bohéme”, “Madama Butterfly”, “Cavalleria Rusticana”, “Pagliacci”, “Trovatore”, “La Vedova allegra”, “Messa di Gloria” (of G. Puccini), “Requiem” (of Mozart) and many others symphonic chamber music concerts.

He was also invited as director in many other orchestras such as “the Fenice” of Venice, the Radiotelevision orchestra of Minsk, the Symphonic orchestra of Zagabria, the Mozart orchestra, the Solo artists of Rome, the “Richard Strauss” chamber orchestra, the “Lilienfield Sommerakademie” orchestra etc., collaborating with important soloists as Henghel Gualdi, Aldo Ciccolini, Isaac Stern, Dimitrij Kharitònov, Bruno Canino, Gamitrjn Mapocàj, Leonora Armellini, Uto Ughi.

We have to mention, the great success for the direction of the opera “La Traviata” at Castel Sant’Angelo of Rome and the tours in the most important Italian cathedrals such as: the Duomo in Milan, the Duomo in Monza, in Spoleto and Loreto with the Symphonic Lyric Orchestra of Rome, “Richard Strauss” chamber orchestra and the “Antonio Salieri” orchestra.

In 2003 and 2004 in collaboration with the cultural Heritage Department he took part as main director at two concert season at the National Museum of the musical instruments of Rome and from 2003 to 2010 he was artistic an musical director of the San Pietro theatre in Rome, where he conducted numerous operas and concerts.

In 2010 he achieved the master degree in conducting and in 2012 a second master degree in orchestra of wind instruments, direction and instrumentation, both with a score of 110/110.

From 2010 to 2014 was founder and artistic director dell’Offida Opera Festival.

In 2014 he published a book entitled “La Marcia Sinfonica”.

From 2015 to 2022 he is artistic director of Marche Opera Festival

Since 2025 he has been part of the “UTO UGHI Foundation” and of the National Orchestra of Musical High Schools estabilished by “The Ministry of Education and Merit” as Conductor.

We have also to remember the many rewards: degree and plaque “For the value in musical arts” at the Spoleto cathedral (in 1996), degree and gold medal at the “la Sapienza” university in Rome from the International center of culture “Foyer des artistes” for “interpreting with art the soul of the big musicians in Italy and abroad” (in 2003), value degree from the cultural department of the Offida municipality for “having in so few years changed the Offida’s city into a small Salzburg donating us moments of lyrics impression an musical competence” (in 2011), “The Carlino d’oro” from magazine Il Resto del Carlino for “the high musical quality of the Offida Opera Festival” (in 2014).

With the lyric symphonic orchestra of Rome and the “ Richard Strauss” chamber orchestra, under his direction, have been published many CDS and DVDS such as: “La Bohéme”, “Il Barbiere di Siviglia”, “Rigoletto”, “ Le Quattro stagioni” and “Perle Musicali”.

He is Professor of Orchestral Practice and Conducting at the “Nicola Sala” Conservatory of  Music in Benevento and, Professor of Conducting and Chamber Music at AIMART the “International Academy of Music and Art” in Rome.
